100 Things About Myself

I have just passed my 100th blog post. In honor of the blogger tradition I am posting 100 things about me. What do you REALLY think of me now???

1. I am the oldest of 2 kids.
2.I weighed 3 pounds when I was born, preemie.
3.I always got in trouble as a kid.
4.The only reason I got into trouble as a kid in school, was for talking to much.
5.I came to know the Lord in 1990, I was 8 years old.
6.I have a brother who was paralyzed due to a car accident.
7.I also have a brother who was healed by God, the same brother who was paralyzed is now walking.
8.I have 2 Christian parents.
9.My family is very close.
10.I didn’t have a social life until after I graduated high school.
11.Due to the lack of social life, I struggle keeping more than one really good friendship at a time.

12.My first date was one week after my high school graduation.
13.I was married at 21, younger than many people get married now.
14.I married someone who is opposite of me, and we balance each other out well.
15.I currently have one baby.
16.I make home-made baby food for my baby.
17.I don’t feed my baby sugar or salt (as of yet, he’s 9 months)
18.All I ever wanted to do was be a mother.
19.Being a mother is harder than I thought.
20.I like reading "how to books" (I like self improvement)
21.My favorite "how to books" are regarding raising children, or on the subject of children.
22.I am a very joyful person.
23.I am a very excited and bubbly person.
24.I don't get sad very often.
25.I am almost always happy.
26.I don't cry in front of people very easily.
27.You would think I am self confident, even when inside I am totally lacking self confidence.
28.I am not afraid to speak my mind.
29.I probably speak my mind too often.
30.I am not quiet, I talk a lot.
31.I hate being blamed for something I did not do.
32.I have trouble being defensive when you blame something on me.
33. I believe whole heartily that you should cherish every moment of your life.
34. I understand 100% that tomorrow is not promised to me by God.
35. I am afraid of driving to new places by myself.
36.I have memorized 107 verses at least, those are the ones I’ve kept track of.
37.I am never “good enough” for my own expectations.
38.I love to organize things.
39.I want my house to be spotless, but rarely is it that way.
40.I don’t like to sleep in total darkness.
41.I see everything black and white.
42.Because I see everything black and white, sometimes I’m not creative enough.

43.The only thing I feel 100% confidence in doing, is being a wife and mother.
44.I will be almost anyone’s friend.
45.I have a heart for those who are different.
46.I want to help anyone I see who has a disability…in any way.
47. If I could be on any show it would have been the "Cosby" show...although I'm the wrong color.
48.Staying at home is actually a harder job than I expected.
49.I am very good at doing something I say I will do.
50.I am a very honest person.
51.I can never decide if I want my hair to be short, or long.
52.I love photographs.
53. I love the smell of rain.
54. I love staying in a cabin in the woods.
55. I enjoy reading.
56.I can re-read any books I own.
57. I could also re-watch movies I really like.
58.I am very picky on the movies I watch.
59.I love eating rocky road ice cream
60. I like nuts but I don’t like them in my food…except rocky road ice cream
61. I like raisins, except in my food.
62. I don’t usually cook with salt.
63. I don’t usually salt my food.
64. I love almost every vegetable.
65.I love almost every fruit.
66.There isn’t many foods I dislike.
67.If I am around fish too often (alive) I start dreaming they are dead.
68. If I am around fish too often (alive) I start dreaming I accidentally eat them (I mean alive)….yeah, gross.
69. I put things off more often than I should.
70. I took every computer class offered in High School, including computer programming.
71. I am not good in math, especially Algebra.
72. I won the science award every year in High School.
73. I was the top student in my physics class in High School (it was very hands on)
74. I have dissected a dead pig.
75. I want to have a green thumb, but don’t. Mostly because I don’t make the time.
76. I enjoy the feeling of hitting a baseball with a bat.
77. I am not athletic at all.
78. I have never played in one competitive sport, or anything.
79. I can play the flute.
80. I write lyrics to music.
81. I have actually recorded a CD singing my own lyrics.
82.I used to perform Christian concerts.
83. I am actually not a good singer, at all.
84. I wish I were a good singer.
85. I love the feeling of writing songs, and singing.
86. I am not in the choir at church though, I prefer working with children.
87. Pretty much anything to do with kids is my calling.
88. I can’t keep a straight face when I get onto my 9 month old and he smiles at me.
89. I cannot keep a secret…I get to excited.
90. I always ASK my husband to open his gifts early.
91. The excitement I show when I have a secret is pretty much how I am about life in general.
92. My excitement rubs off on others.
93. I am a very joyful person.
94. I don’t struggle with getting mad, as much as I used to.
95. I am more laid back than I used to be, less anxious.
96. If you tell me bad news, and I don’t know what to say or how to react I might accidentally smile and start giggling…even though it is NOT funny.
97. I will pretty much tell you anything you want to know.
98. I love God.
99.I want to have a better relationship with him daily.
100.I hope to someday be exactly where I want to be in my walk with Christ.
